Climbing = pain = awesomeness
I climbed super hard today because I know the gym will close early tomorrow and be closed for New Years.  Going outside is out of the question due to how cold it is.  As I was working on these V5 and  V6 projects I have I realized that I’m pushing myself harder than I’ve ever pushed at anything.  As I was pondering on what the perfect beta would be for these projects I realized that...

Proper Carb consumption is vital for climbing
After leading a few climbs and every time I feel like my forearms are going to spring booster rockets and fly off I decided to research how to better process lactic acid. I came upon this nice 10 facts about lactic acid list and it is an interesting read. (the best way to process the hydrogen ions is to climb harder).  It just proves that climbing requires equal training as any mainstream sport.  ...

finding-elysium: oneboulderingvideoaday: This is a crazy boulder problem. Roof, pocket, double toe hook the lip on the way to a top out. Totally awesome. This one comes from Italy, specifically Vitorchiano. 8A? :/ Someone needs to confirm that grade… you obviously can’t judge how hard a problem is until you try it, but still.

Got to boulder outside for the first time.  Poor planning led to temperatures of ~ 35 degrees and The land of a thousand boulders (triassic) having snowy topouts on just about every boulder. It was too much fun, can’t wait to do it again(without the snow).
